Isoff and GEA Collaboration At The Center

Kubilay Tufekci, President ISOFF Istanbul Off-road Club, Organising Committee of Baja Troia Turkiye:

Two major earthquakes hit Eastern Turkiye back to back, leaving devastating effects with thousands of lost lives, injured ones. While our thoughts are with the victims of this tragedy, we as ISOFF Istanbul Off-road Club teamed up with GEA Search & Rescue Team where we also have common members with. We immediately send trucks with urgent necessities and our experienced members headed to the region for help. We are still coordinating with our international friends for receiving their trucks of relief supplies. Our dear friends Alex Kovachev from Bulgaria and Maurizio from Romania send us their official rescue teams with 75 brave men and women, we are so grateful to all these support… We express our condolences for the losses and wish quick recovery for the ones wounded physically and mentally.

Baja Troia is a Candidate Event

Baja Troia Turkey race; which is orginized by ISOFF in Çanakkale, has become a candidate race for FIA Cross Country Baja Races.

If the Baja Troia Turkey race; which will be held this year with supervisors from the FIA, is successfully completed, it will be run as an official leg of the FIA Cross Country Baja European Cup in 2023.

This race; which has been organize by Isoff until this day, will be the 3rd internationaly recognized race held in Turkey after Formula 1 and WRC. It is an excellent opportunity to introduce our land of legends and impenetrable Çanakkale. We expect the support of all our members and the people of Çanakkale to successfully complete this organization once again.

Press Release about Mert Becce’s Dismissal

For Your Information

As Istanbul Off-Road Club (İSOFF), we would like to thank all İSOFF members and voluntary friends who have worked hard for days without sleeping and to organizations and businesses that sponsored our race and offered their support for Baja Troia Turkey 2021 organized on 28-31 October 2021 among the unique natural beauties of Çanakkale.

All safety precautions to ensure the life safety of the racer teams and audience is taken in BajaTroia Turkey 2021. Racer no 213 was dismissed based on the Commissary Board decision and this racer shared social media posts against our club.

There is the necessity to explain the reason for the dismissal of the racer and this process to the public for providing the correct information.

The co-pilot of racer no. 213 wore an inflammable fleece jacket on the overalls which are against the Tosfed Safety Rules. This situation has been identified and a penal fine is applied by the Race Director due to breaking the rules.

While racer no. 213 had the right to object to the penal fine according to the correct procedure, the racer attempted to put the penal fine inside the clothes of the Racer Director. The racer failed in his attempt as the Director prevent this situation. The racer threw the money to the Director in front of the Race Commissary, observers and other racers and said, (“Take this money and go buy yourself a new camera. You can take better photos”).

Such behavior of any racer against the Race Director is unacceptable or intolerable regardless of any reason.

Despite all that, the Race Director didn’t make any countermovement against the racer and the racer is removed from the location.

After this sad event, the TOSFED Commissary Board handled the situation and decided to dismiss the racer from the race and reject the racer’s objection.

A disciplinary process might also follow this Dismissal Decision made by the TOSFED Commissary Board as a result of this unsporting behavior.

As İSOFF Director of Boards, we would like to inform the public that we will not permit any unjust victimization from this process in which our club wasn’t directly involved and the attempt to discredit our efforts.

Announcement Regarding Baja Troia

Covid-19 pandemics measurements’ effects lasting with the same severity since the beginning have influenced all the sportive activities. In all the five Countries, together with BAJA TROIA TURKEY 2020, taking place in the calendar of EAST EUROPEAN TOUT-TERRAIN SERIES, the races could not be achieved, because of these pandemic measurements.

We regret to say that, the Covid-19 pandemics and related preventive measures are yet in effect, by almost the same severity since the beginning of the outbreak and still influencing all sportive activities. As a matter of fact, BAJA TROIA TURKEY 2020 is a part of EAST EUROPEAN TOUT-TERRAIN SERIES, which takes place in five different Countries, where none of the races have been accomplished by the previously announced timelines due to the pandemic measures.

In Turkey, especially the sportive organizations, to which foreign competitors’ participation have an important share, like BAJA TROIA TURKEY, have faced the same impasse due to limitation of international travels.

BTT is not an ordinary organization for ISOFF, but a challenge that needs to be advanced, enriched, developed each and every successive year. We are targeting a larger number of staff, with participation of increased number of foreign and local competitors together with more contentious stages. And we will continue as such…

As because the actual conditions and the responsibility we carry against our staff and participants will not give us the opportunity to make an organization with the above defined perfection, we decided to cancel the BTT organization which was pre-planned for October 15-28, 2020.

We wish healthy days to our participant competitors, staff and spectators together with hope of meeting in 2021.

Announcement Regarding Planned Off Road Races in 2020

The COVID-19 pandemic and related enforcements had an effect on all sportive organizations in 2020. Lots of organizations are either cancelled or postpones. Motorsports took their toll of these enforcements too.

The organizations under EETTS until may 2020 are cancelled under these enforcements, while the uncertainty for the following months is still continuing.

As ISOFF, we have already started our planning and preparations for Baja Troia Turkey for October 15-18, 2020. We are intending to realize this organization, if the pandemic enforcements, the limitations for the international travel applied by the countires to their citizens will be suspended, the social distance excpectations are loosened and the federations limitations regarding the race organizations are stopped.

We will keep you informed following the improvements

Message from Chairman Kubilay Tüfekçi elected as İstanbul Off-Road Club (İSOFF) Chairman of Board of Management for 2020-2022 Term.

As the elected Board of Member of İstanbul Off-Road Club for 2020-22 term, we would like to thank all our Chairmen and Board of Management members and all other staff for their efforts and carrying our club to this day. But we would like to especially thank all our İSOFF members who have always participated in all club activities without being stopped by rain, mud or snow for electing us.

Without forgetting that we are a hobby club, we will combine our passions towards nature with our sportive culture and we will try to take our organisation skills gained over the years forward.

We will work harder to protect the rights of our members, raise awareness for nature with mutual respect and friendship, try to improve sportive culture with our linked sportive federation and with all organisations and associations moving forwards with the love of nature and sportive spirit.

New İSOFF Chairman is Kubilay Tüfekçi

İstanbul Offroad Club (İSOFF) 2020-22 Term General Committee Election is completed. New İSOFF Chairman is elected as Kubilay Tüfekçi.

İstanbul Off-Road Club assigned tasks of the 20th term of the board of management yesterday. Accordingly, under the chairman Kubilay Tüfekçi, the board of management consists of Sebahatting Toper as Vice Chairman, Barbaros Arıoğlu as General Secretary and Bursak Gize as Accountant. Other names Mutesem Mujahed, Ali Aykut Boz and Halil İbrahim Türkyılmaz listed as the block in the election will be members in the new board of management.

Substitute members of the board of management are Hakan Betir, Ayşin Uysal, Bayram Eyri, Utku Mestçi, Soner Birol, Mustafa Karahasanoğlu and Müfit Çırpanlı. On the other hand, the board of audit selected in the general meeting consisted of Ercüment Yalçın, Can Tahincioğlu and Serhat Tolan as main members, Necmi İnan, Haldun Ülgen and Berkehan Öztür as substitute members; in disciplinary board consisted of Volkan Mestçi, Güneş Top and Tahire Birinci as main members, Yusuf Cinal, Levent Uysal and Ali Doğaner as substitute members.
